Hans grew up in the Seattle area and is one of the nation’s most accomplished rowers. He’s the very definition of a team player.

He competed as a Team USA athlete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earned a spot on the national USRowing team (representing it at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships), and was a two-time collegiate national champion with the University of Washington. There, he earned a BA in business and focused on entrepreneurship. Through rowing, he has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia, although now he makes his home in Alameda.

These days he’s known for his commitment to CrossFit and ultimate frisbee, as well as for making a mean risotto.
